Outback Batteries is owned and operated by a local NT family.

With three stores in Darwin supplying cutting edge batteries and Low Voltage products we are looking for a switched on individual to join our team.

About the role

As an Outback Batteries 12V Fitter you will work with an established team in our Winnellie store giving excellent customer service and providing high quality installation of Batteries and various 12V cutting edge products under the instruction of the store manager.                                                                                           

We are looking for applicants with:

  • Extensive knowledge Fitting 12 & 24 Volt Products

  • Skilled in the installation of LED Lights, DC to DC chargers, Solar Panels, UHF Radios and other relevant automotive accessories for the 4WD market.

You will need to have:

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Be well presented, neat and tidy

  • Ability to serve customers selling the products you install

  • Ability to learn our POS system

  • General common sense and an ability to work in a team

  • A positive attitude with problem solving ability

  • An ability to work autonomously to a time frame

  • Previous Experience in a 4WD Accessory Store will be highly regarded

  • A strong work ethic and an eye for detail

  • Drivers Licence essential

  • The position will require Saturday work on a semi-regular basis
